cebadec Posted November 16, 2007 Share Posted November 16, 2007 or even asked on this forum...but i'm asking any way...i'm taking a cadd course for theatrical design and we are covering light plots...the class as a whole is having issues with setting up the light plot...we have a set that we've extruded (provided by our instructor) and now we are trying to put a light plot up to light it as well...we've got up to the linked layer part down...but we all are having issues after that...we can't seem to get the positions to (baton's or electrics) to be created properly and we can't get the instruments to link to the pipe (for the paper work aspect)...anyways the real point of this post is that we are all using 12.5 and wondering if there are any free tutorials that anyone knows about?.? any and all help appreciated... Jim_Allen Posted November 18, 2007 Share Posted November 18, 2007 It can be answered, but there are several issues. 1) Are you converting your lines to positions? 2) Are you inserting the instruments with the instrument insertion tool? 3) I am assuming you are working on a single layer for the lighting?
