Jim
CAUTION! After creating a symbol and assigning it to a Class the elements of the symbol (lines, arcs, etc.) do not take on that Class. Only the symbol's Class is apparent in the Object Info Palette (unless in Edit Symbol mode) not the class of its elements. CONSEQUENTLY THE SYMBOL MAY NOT APPEAR IF THE SYMBOL'S CLASS IN ACTIVE/VISIBLE AND THE CLASSES OF ELEMENTS USED TO CREATE IT ARE NOT ACTIVE/VISIBLE ON A CUSTOM SHEET FOR INSTANCE It would seem that there should be a warning to normally assign at least all 2D elements of a symbol to the same Class as will be given to the symbol itself. BETTER STILL, SURELY A SYMBOL SHOULD ACT AS THOUGH IT HAS THE CLASS ATTRIBUTED TO IT IN THE OBJECT INFO PALATTE. Quote Link to comment
