Don@Black Dog
Using TABs in a text box is leaving rectangles where the tab was used. Why? Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
Do a search on "tab". Quote Link to comment
P Retondo
. . . and you will find that you have to load East Asian languages into your system. What does that say, I wonder, about where the code was written? Quote Link to comment
Guest
It wasn't a matter of where the code was written, but the fact that VW supports unicode in 12.5. A lot of the asian languages are unicode characters. There was a hiccup that entered late in the game and the bug was not caught before it was released. It will be fixed in the next version. FWIW - Almost all code is written in the USA. Edited December 1, 2006 by Katie Quote Link to comment

Steve Hausz
Hmmm...I was hoping this thread was going to lead to an answer! The post that said to do a search for "tab" didn't lead me to any useful information, and I don't know if the post about loading east asian fonts was a suggestion or not. Are you saying that until the next version comes out, I'll have to accept boxes wherever a tab has been placed? I surely hope not! Is there a solution? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Guest
That, or install the asian fonts as described in the other posts and Knowledge base. http://kbase.nemetschek.net/index.php?ToDo=view&questId=113&catId=23 Quote Link to comment
Guest
Sorry Pete! I get in the habit of writing posts here too quick for my own good. =) Quote Link to comment
P Retondo
I don't know if the post about loading east asian fonts was a suggestion or not. Go to the "Regional and Language Options" control panel, and under the "Languages" tab select "Install files for East Asian Languages." This will load the file necesssary to properly interpret the "tab" character. Quote Link to comment
