KahrlZero
I have a template for mechanical part drawings that I built in v11 that I'm having some trouble with now that we have v12 (Fundamentals). I'm learning as I go and I'm not sure I set it up the way a more experienced user would, but it worked fine for me until the upgrade. It has a blank Design Layer 1 like any blank drawing, and a print page where I can send viewports which has a custom border. The problem is with the text blocks in the border. It's a custom border I made based on the ASME border that comes with VW. The problem is that I can no longer edit the border's text blocks through the Object Info palette. Drawings from v11 have all of their original text, but I can't edit it normally. The text appears in the correct spot on the drawing but does not appear in the palette and changes made in the palette aren't reflected on the drawing. Can anyone help? Do I have to rebuild my template from scratch? If so, is there any way to fix my existing drawings? Thanks for the time. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Perhaps it was translated as a 'Symbol' and must be edited via the resource Browser. Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
Try menu Tools > Utilities > Update Plug-in Objects. Quote Link to comment
KahrlZero
Try menu Tools > Utilities > Update Plug-in Objects. Bingo, that did it. Thanks very much! Quote Link to comment
