Jim_Allen
Sure. What I do is set up a master plot with instances of my most used instruments, with legends assigned to instruments, and a bunch of lighting positions created. Then all you have to do is open the master and you are ready to go. You can't cover every permutation and it is a bit of work up front, but it gives me a jump start. Quote Link to comment
R. KIRK WITHERSPOON
IS THERE A WAY TO RECORD THE LABEL LEGEND ASSIGNED TO LIGHING SYMBOLS AND RECORD THEM IN THE TEMPLATE? THAT WAY WHEN YOU OPEN A NEW DRAWING THE LABEL LEGEND FOR EACH LIGHT IS ALREADY IN PLACE (INSTEAD OF THE ACTIVE LABEL LEGEND). Quote Link to comment
David Ormsby
As jtallen mentioned, the best thing to do is set up you legend, and save that as a template. Use the "Save as Template" from the file menu, give it a useful name, then in the future when you select "New" from the file menu, your template will be available from the list. I've actually got a drawing I saved as "Default.sta" in my templates folder that has all my legends, as well as titleblock, date stamp, etc, and every time I start VW it comes up with that drawing ready to go.
