Hi, we are running VectorWorks 9.5 on windows 2000 Dell 420 systems. When we print to our black and white HP laserjet 5000N, everything looks great. But when we try to print using the color HP 8550 nothing comes out. It shows it spooling normally, then when the print finishes, no print comes out at all. We have attempted to solve the problem by using Adobe Acrobat to print to PDF first then print to the color printer. This works, but image files seem to often come out as black squares or with background fills when they should have been transparent. So, I am hoping that anyone out there either has
1) A solution or fix for the HP 8550 Printing problem.
or
2) Knows how we can get PDF's to print properly out of Vectorworks, with images that are clear and correct, ie: with transparent backgrounds (For instance: A human figure, placed in an elevation, whose background will not obscure the line work or fills.)
Although I hope no one else has experienced similar problems, it would be nice if someone knew a solution!Thank you, GwynArchIT SOA|UBC
