Ariel
I created a tapered extrude from a circle to make a tree trunk. I then converted it into nurbs surfaces so I can create the bends. Rather than move the vertices manually, how can I now scale the trunk ends (top and bottom) and also the mid section so that I can get the exact shape that I want? Quote Link to comment
Guest
You could try to loft 3 circles to get the wavy curve also. Quote Link to comment
Ariel
Yes I could, but my original question was how can I scale the circle section or ends once I've created them into nurbs surfaces? Quote Link to comment
Marc
The way I scale nurbs is to draw a square, circle or line at the point where I want and then move the vertices to coincide. Laborious because sometimes you have to do this in three steps for each vertice (x,y,z axis)I don't know if this helps but it seems to be a limit of all 3d programs beccause we are looking at a 2d sutface (the screen). Matthew Giampapa
All the nurbs objects can be reshaped with the 3D reshape tool. In addition to that, they can also be uniformly scaled using the "scale objects" command in the tool menu. Matthew GiampapaNNA Technical Support Quote Link to comment
