Paolo
I'm working on a plugin that makes possible to put dimensions on ISO Views. Let us say I've done it, the result is a group composed by a dimension line with the exact measure, bracketed in angled lines according to the ISO view. The problem is that the behavior of this group is far from that of common dimensions, in a few words, it is no more editable. What I'm searching is the code source of dimensions plugin (if it exists) to make possible my dimension to be dragged, resized and recalculated. For whom interested on ISO View dimension script, write to me at project@arcoarredamenti.it Paolo Quote Link to comment
Matthew Giampapa
Paolo, Dimensions are not scripts. They are an object type that is natively supported in VectorWorks like a Wall or parametric constraint. (Ok, Well they could be internally, but I can be sure that they are not a standard PIO type object.) Quote Link to comment
matto
but there is probable no reason it couldn't be done as line type plug- in (or even 2d path so you can do chain dims.) using and offset from the control line offset text from that lines at end like you where suggesting all ready. there may be away to use a VS dimension call to do both. even crazier idea if you can work out how it would need to react a 3d path plug. then it could update itself as view changes. each node on the path could generate a chain of dimensions Quote Link to comment
