I disagree. I love the fact that dimension text font and size can be set the same way as any other text, much more easily than modifying a dimension style. I also the fact that it's applied per object rather than universally for the dimension style.

And I like the fact that the default text font and size also applies to newly created dimensions. As always, VectorWorks makes it easy to do the normal thing, which is to letter dimensions the same way as notes.

The second part of the wish, setting dimension text by class, is already pretty easy to do: just do a custom selection with two criteria (kind = dimension, and class = the one you're interested in), and then change the font and size of the selected objects.
