INDEPENDENT VOLUME CONTROL

CipesDesign

Question

Here's a relatively minor one: I use the "use sound" option all the time. I am currently remodeling my own house and there are guys with jackhammers & sawzalls, etc. It's really noisy so I decided to use headphones. I can now listen to music instead of loud construction noise. The problem is that the VectorWorks smart cursor cues are REALLY loud in the headphones, hence my request: Independent volume control of the sound cues.

Thanks In Advance!

Peter

You know Peter, that is a good idea. I never thought of that. When I first got VW, the first thing I did was turn off the sound because it was so loud. But like you, I like the audible feedback. It is much like the tactile feedback I get from my keyboard. That "snap" lets you know that your action was accomplished.

Good idea.

There is a third party utility applications for mac osX, that will give you a volume control for each of the active applications.

But for the life of me i can't find it at the moment.

It would be nice if VW included a volume control in the application, it might also be nice to be able to stop some types of snap points from making a sound, while still being able to snap to those point.
