Ziska
A "connect the loci tool" unless there's on already there... Quote Link to comment
0 Guest
You can snap to loci, which makes using a polyline or polygon tool easy to generate a path with the loci. There isn't a connect the loci function because it's impossible, without clicking on each loci, to tell the computer which loci the former is to be connected to. Quote Link to comment
0 Ziska
Katie, I'm afraid the snap to loci preference only gets me a 2D snap- not a 3D snap Ziska Quote Link to comment
0 Petri
Well, Ziska - connecting 3D loci would do little good anyway: the resulting 3D polygon is not likely to be planar. Non-planar 3D polygons are not handled well in any CAD-program, so such surfaces are usually triangulated. Quote Link to comment
0 Ziska
I'll admit I'm rather dim on this- but I thought a 3D loci had X,Y,Z coordinates- yet there seems to be no way to create a polyline snapping to those points without multiple re-edits in multiple views.... Just a "wish list" after all.... Ziska Quote Link to comment
