Key commands in text edit mode

PeterT

Question

It would be great if while in text edit mode on a block of text there could be a separate set of command key shortcuts to choose text styles similar to what most text editing applications offer. For example, command "B" for bold, command "U" for underline, command "T" for plain text, etc.

It would seem to me that VectorWorks could recognize when the user has entered a block of text and could offer offer alternative command key equivalents similar to the way it does if you enter the layers dialog.

In the layers dialog, command "T" takes you to the top layer instead of invoking the trim command. Couldn't something similar be done for the text edit mode?
