Report Criteria to pick out symbols and information from referenced files

Hi, 

 

I know this has been a questioned for a while and I saw some discussion dated back 2010 asking for this function. I want to know if anyone has figured out how to include information from a referenced file into a report. 

 

For example: 

 

I have 3 buildings each has its own model. I want to create 1 sanitary schedule in a 4th model that picks up all the 2D/3D symbol in the 3 models. 

 

Is this achievable?
