garrettohler Posted January 9 Share Posted January 9 Amplio Systems - AVL Design Engineer About our company Job Description: The Design Team supports the rest of Amplio Systems as they head out to sell, install and support Audio, Video, Lighting, and Acoustical Systems. The role of the Design Engineer is an integral position within the team. This role will work within various software products to assemble a design document that communicates the design intent and design detail for all stages of the project life cycle. Including the needed infrastructure to support the new or future systems. This also includes modeling of various systems within the proper software. This can range from Speaker Systems to House Lights, as well as various calculations of electrical/heat loads, rigging weights and assembly. This information will need to be translated into the project drawings for communication with other trades. Various models and other input may be required for Design For Sale processes. The Design Engineer is also responsible for a working system design and functional drawings as needed to ensure a fully working system which meets the customer's needs. The Design Engineer will work with a project team to specify the equipment list and also to assist in the development of the Scope of Work document. Interfacing with construction teams (Architects, General Contractors, Structural Engineers and Electrical Engineers) and clients will be a part of the normal project life cycle.
