FRED JOHNSON
Maybe this has been already done but I was wondering why Text does not "autoclass". It seems to me that this would be a natural feature. Quote Link to comment
0 Guest
Text goes into the current active class by default. All dimension objects go into the Dimensions class. You can create a text class and set that to the active class when you are entering text. I'll add it to the wishlist meanwhile. Quote Link to comment
0 FRED JOHNSON
I know... its the going back and forth that I don't like. The dimension class works automatically and a similar thing for text would be very gratefully received. Quote Link to comment
0 David Seibert
I'd echo that sentiment. Quote Link to comment
0 Kristen
If you do implement this, please make it easy to turn the "autoclass" option on and off. We put our text on different classes on the same layer to create different drawings (ie floor plan, ref. ceiling plan, demo plan). Personally, I prefer as little autoclassing as possible. I'd add to the wishlist the option to not autoclass dimensions, either. Quote Link to comment
0 Alexandre Villares
The VectorScript CallTool function wasn't working properly with the Text tool... CallTool(-200)...if that was fixed (I'll try to check it out on VW10) then a customizable auto-classing text tool can be programmed. I've already made an auto-classing wall tool for a client, and it's quite handy. Quote Link to comment
