kkestler Posted August 25, 2023 Share Posted August 25, 2023 I have a file I saved from a previous employer to be able to use as a reference for future personal work. However, when I open the file, it won't let me switch to other sheets or views, and it appears that all of the layers are checked out. Is there a way to convert this to a usable standard .vwx file without reconnecting to the project file first? Quote Link to comment
kkestler Posted September 1, 2023 Author Share Posted September 1, 2023 As a follow-up, I was able to have someone send me the parent file for the file I mentioned above. But when I try to open it it tells me it needs to update, so I hit OK. It then tells me This is an unrecognized file. It may be a Vectorworks file created by a newer version (unlikely since it told me it needed to update), it may be a very old MiniCAD file (it's not), it may have been created by another application (again, not the case), or it may have been corrupted by a hardware or system error. I really need to be able to use these files, can anyone help? Quote Link to comment
