Niall
Does Vectorworks take advantage of dual Intel processor machines running Windows NT/2000? If not, will this become a new feature? Quote Link to comment
Guest
VectorWorks doesn't benefit directly from multiple processors right now, but as these machines become more common it'll be a pretty attractive direction for future development. Caleb Strockbine caleb@nemetschek.net Quote Link to comment
studioeec
While you're at it, support for the Mac Dual G4 I have sitting on my desk would be a great help. I can process 2gig Photoshop files easily, but rendering in RW is like watching grass grow on anything even a little complicated. It's funny that all it takes to make Photoshop dual processor aware is a simple (and free) plug-in. ------------------ Ken Cox Studio eec 610.429.8282 Quote Link to comment
Thomas Ames
Dual processors work! Hi, we're building/fine-tuning a w2000 pc with two 866's, a gig of ram and dual monitors. It screams compared to rendering with NT4, 350MHz 256Meg with dual monitors. A lot depends on the video card and its memory as well as the mother board. The increased performance is breathtaking. I'll post more on this pc over the next week or so as we get it buttoned up. Quote Link to comment
