I would like to suggest a new type of PIO that accepts other objects as parameter. Think of this PIO to work just like the floor..., extrude... or similar commands.
This PIO type has a script, a menu item named "Create... " and parameters displayed in the object info palette.
1. Select an object
2. Select the "Create my pio..." menu item
3. A dialog appears, similar to the standard dialog which is invoked when a pio is created the first time.
4. Now it is up to the pio script to check if valid drawing
objects are selected and what to do with them.
5. The parameters of the PIO object can then be edited via object info palette.
Now the interesting part:
6. You should be able to edit the original objects via
"Edit Group" menu.
What do you think of it?
Perhaps this could make it into VW9?
A propos: floor... extrude... and similar commands.
It would be very helpful if the "show others" option were present, so you could see the walls when editing the floors.

Is there a technical reason why this is missing?
Or am I missing something?
