Vessel.la
Vessel Studio is a boutique architecture and design studio with a refined modernist sensibility striving to elevate both practice and product through rigorous research, exploration and execution. We design exquisite living spaces primarily but dabble in a broadening array of design typologies and believe strongly that Architecture is merely one branch of the design tree. We are growing and are looking for the following qualities in a colleague: ::An inquisitive collaborator with a penchant for craft ::A critical thinker with an even more critical eye for detail ::A maker and a doer ::An independent self starter ::An outspoken voice both searching for and serving knowledge ::A technical wizard who dreams in vectors and splines ::Someone who wants to lead rather than follow ::Self-directed, with a high level of initiative. We expect an intermediate Architect to have 2-5 years of post graduate professional experience. Since we are a small firm, you can expect to have a broad array of responsibilities and exposure to all aspects of a project's life cycle, from concept through completion. The position will begin with a 3-6 month evaluation period with the possibility for full time employment beyond. It is structured as a remote, part time, flexible, hourly position (30-40 hours/week to start). Competitive hourly rate offered based on experience and raw talent. We are currently working remotely and do not have plans to re-enter the "studio" quite yet. We provide a flexible, deadline based schedule so you can work your preferred hours with scheduled daily check ins and zoom meetings etc.. The key ingredients in your arsenal may include: ::Professional degree in Architecture as a minimum ::Extensive knowledge of architectural detailing and construction standards. ::The ability to produce DD/CD details and documents with minimal supervision. ::VECTORWORKS experience required ::Sketchup/Rhino experience a plus. ::Experience working with Malibu and Los Angeles building depts. ::High end residential experience ::Los Angeles local preferred but not required Vessel Studio is an equal opportunity employer. vessel-studio.com Thank you for your interest and look forward to hearing from you!
