Constraints

Question

I think a great addition to Vectorworks would be more keyboard commands.

Example: when drawing a very large radius and the centerpoint is off the page, if you could enter an endpoint command from the keyboard this would save a lot of time.

How about being able to enter the required radius in the object information box then? Certainly there needs to be some way of drawing large radius curves without having to zoom way out - at which view it is often difficult to see where you are putting the centre point, expecially if there is a lot of other detail nearby.

We're well aware of the desire for more keyboard shortcuts, especially from Mac users. A complicating factor is that there's also a desire for workspace files that work on both platforms. This means that any key combinations we support as shortcuts must work on both platforms, but MacOS and Windows have some significant differences in what modifier keys are available and how they're used. For example, the control key on Windows is used like the command key on the Mac. So supporting the control key on the Mac as and additional modifier for shortcuts presents a problem for Windows users, and would probably mean that our workspace files would no longer work on both platforms.
