To create template file which includes settings for Publish it would be nice to have functionality to save publish settings. Now if you want to save settings to ex. File Export Options, only way to do that is to Publish something. If I don't want sheets to my template file, publish is impossible. If you create sheet to set options by publishing sheet one time, remove that sheet and enter Publish you get notification, One or more Sheets, worksheets or Saved Views will not be published because they cannot found. You might also need to close all the documents, which contain items for publishing, except the active one. When you remove ghost sheet from publish list you can not save settings because you don't have anything to publish, There are no items currently marked for publishing. Cancel or close window options don't save settings.
Some other setting windows has this kind of save settings button.
