This is a highly technical role requiring extensive familiarity with design principles, computer-aided drafting technologies, and building codes to ensure that drawings are accurate to present necessary information for construction, Contractors, zoning and approval bodies. Responsibilities: Design plans using Computer-aided Design and Drafting Software (CADD) Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and designers Liaise with Project Managers to gather product and structural requirements and designs Calculate Dimensions, Weight Limitations and Requirements in materials Describe Production methods step-by-step Including equipment and software types to be used) Design diagrams, maps and layouts to illustrate workflow Prepare and review rough sketches with the Design team Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards within scope, budget, and schedule Maintain and update Template files Maintain and update Venue CADs Skills: Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role Must know Vectorworks Spotlight 2020 or newer Familiarity with 3d Modeling tools Good Math Skills Critical thinker Ability to multi-task and work under pressure Outstanding organizational and time management skills Ability to meet deadlines without supervision Effective communication skills Qualifications: 2+ years’ experience in high-end production environment Associate’s Degree from a technical institute or community college ADDA Certifications are a plus Application Question(s): Are you able to answer the work phone outside of office hours?
