  1. Will I be able to export my vectorworks projects to Navisworks to use clash detection etc. My drawings is mainly piping systems drawn as extrudes, so no ifc information (I guess?)
  2. I want to edit and use some tools for the site model such as cut and fill for the imported site model from elsewhere (ifc format). Can I do this without reconstructing the whole site model all over again from start in Vectorworks? Also, if I exported a Vectorworks site model (ifc format), I cannot edit it again when I import it again to Vectorworks? Is there a way to edit it (and do some cut and fill etc) after the site model was exported?
  3. After about two months with landmark I feel I am beginning to run up against the softwares limitations--limitations I strongly feel define the product as a professional landscape architects tool versus one more geared for garden design. We always import IFC files from architects typically working in archicad or revit. I would like to see or hear some detailed workflows on importing IFC models, setting accurate finished floor elevations and doing initial site modeling (including foundations). Most of the architects we work with do an initial pass at grading/site modeling.I need to re-model their site grading somehow so that I can easily edit in VW. A good workflow video (using a sloping site, because sites are never flat) would be great. Any resources out there?
  4. Hi, We have used the vectorworks tool "seating layout" and "tabels and chairs", when it exports to IFC it makes the file huge. With chairs/tables 150MB without 10MB. Would think that the built in tools that automaticaly has IFC entity should be sutable for exporting, whitout sky rocketing the file size. Improvements on the way? This is with VW2016 Ida
  5. When exporting a model to IFC, is it possible to include information about the color of an object? And for that color to actually show up in IFC viewers, such as Solibri?
  6. I am using the Pipe Run tool in VW2017 and would like to edit & expand the items listed in the Material: drop down of the OIP for the pipe runs I created. I tried going into the "IFC..." dialogs (from bottom of OIP) and digging around there but did not find what I was looking for. VW2017 online help explains Pipe Run tools but makes no mention of how to customize Materials list. Where do I edit the list of Materials for this tool? Thanks in advance.
