  1. In our workflow we create our Details in another file, we reference/link the file which has the overal design, and then draw our details according to the sections/plans/views. But since we made the step to create 3D designs we have run into a problem. There is, as far as I know, no way to place a section of the 3D model (one that will update as time goes on) onto a design layer so we can reference this in our other file. In the same way we cannot place a viewport onto the design layer that will update. Would anyone know a workaround or way to be able to reference a section cut in the 2D space? Thank you in advance.
  2. I've been mucking about this for a few hours and now have to leave the office, so hopefully there will be a helpful, guiding answer when I get back. How does one go about cleaning up linework after creating an Elevation/Section viewport. That is getting hatches to line up and making unwanted lines disappear. Thanks, Rudy Beuc P.S. I'll try reloading videos when I get back also..

  4. Hi everybody I've been using VW for a few years now, I love the workflow, compatibilty and great visual quality that can be achieved with VW. I'm a structural engineer, and I was wondering if VW is going to include Steel connections modelling and detaling. Most of my work partners use Tekla structures and it is a drawback not to have parametricized steel connectios, BOM, and CNC support in VW. Is there ever going to be realeased a VW for steel structures ???
