Thank you Pat... the matter is "Dimension Exterior Walls" is not in the appendix. I got the following error when I try yo call the command with the same script as the one you give me: "Error: DOMENUTEXTBYNAMEEXAM DOMENUTEXTBYNAME - Menu cannot be found. Dimension Exterior Walls" Is there an other way to reach this command? Can't we call a script from an other script?

Hi, For most of my plans I need to dimensions exterior walls in a rotated mode. I mean: create a rectangle, rotate it, convert it to polygon and create wall form polygon. You got a rectangle of wall wich is not vertical or horizontal. I'd like to get the exterior dimensions of it. If I use the menu "dimension exterior walls..." I got vertical and horizontal dimensions.... -> not what I am looking for. I wan't dimensions parallel to the main axes of what I've just drawn. So I got to: Select all the item I wanna dimension, rotate it to be perpendicular or horizontal. Put it on a separate layer, call "dimension exterior walls", paste back the items and dimensions on the original layer, rotate back in place. And there it's what I was looking for. Is there a more efficient method? ( I tried to rotate the drawing with the rotate plan method and to create a separate working plane, neither works) Going through script I cannot suceed in calling "dimension exterior walls". How to do it? Thanks
