Is there a routine for this. Much of what I do for irrigation design involves coping a symbol, placing and rotating.

Vincent - Did not realize that the Visibility tool would turn off classes. Just what I was looking for.

In the old days, we used to have a routine that when one clicked on a line, the class would turn off.
Is there still a routine out there? I get files that have hundreds of classes and it is tough to figure out what to turn off.

What is the secret to using this tool. I can create the decal texture, but cannot get the Attribute Mapping tool to work to modify the decal for resizing or positioning.

No - there was a third party tool that when a element was picked would allow for that class to be turned off.

I used to have a command that would allow to click on an object and turn off it's class. Does anyone know where I can obtain this add-on.

When creating a DTM cross section, it would be nice to have elevation notations to be located at the sides and bottoms of the section away from the lines. It now takes much modification to make the section readable.

Getting closer, now if I change from corner to arc, how can I get the new arc to change radius without actually activating the vertex?

Actually, I am talking about 2D. I cannot get a marquee to activate a vertex when using the 2D reshape tool. I am not talking about just moving a vertex, but changing it from a corner to arc.

I would like to be able to "activate" any vector along a polyline. Often I will have a polyline with 200 vectors with the one to be modified in the middle. One then needs to "click" all the way to the vector to be modified. By "modified" I mean changing from a 'corner' to an 'arc', etc.

I think I understand your problem. When a plant grouping (say 10 Plants) have a unit price of $5.00, the spreadsheet only shows a total price of $5.00 not $50.00 correct?

If I understand you right, the plant schedule should display accurate counts. I often will have 30 of one plant, 200 of another, etc. in groupings and the schedules work correctly. \
Are the plants all on the same layers and classes?
Could you post a dwg?

If you are using 2009, Use an "open pad" to control the site model.
Draw a poly line over the area you want to control, go to 'modify' 'objects from a poly line' select site modifier, pad, assign an elevation and slope.
