  1. Thanks for the help. I was missing that once in the edit window, it's the Filtered Image and not Image Color tab that edits the color.
  2. Is it possible to change the color of an existing texture in VW without importing a new texture from outside the program? If so, how is this done? Thanks.
  3. For the second time in as many weeks I've come across a file that I can not open (tried on three different computers). The file is not very large but has multiple files referenced into it. Has anyone else faced this problem? If the files are being corrupted, does anyone have any thoughts as to why or how?
  4. Are you aware that when you insert a door (Drag object to wall and click=insert) you have the ability to set the swing by moving the cursor up/down and left/right?
  5. There are currently three projects we have in the works and all of them have an issue with the window glazing. In theory, we try to keep glazing class as it is defaulted on the program (Style-Glazing 1), however in practice mistakes are made and inevitably Style Glazing-1 or Glazing-1 make there way into the mix. With this said, I've gone into each and every window on all three projects and have checked to see that ALL glazing is on the same class, that any preferences are defaulted to the correct class and so forth, but once some of the windows are are even just moved, they default back to one of the other classes... I swear. As a test, I had a window set to Style-Glazing 1 and changed the elevation of it via the OIP and the glazing changed to Style Glazing-1. And with all this said, it would be extremely helpful if we could name our styles... once you reach Style-9 or so it's difficult to keep the rest of the office up-to-date and not get confused.
  6. Jonathan, Does windoor give the user capabilities to configure custom door and window combinations with multiple muntin configurations? Thanks.
  7. Show 3D grid contours was off but still seeing lines. Directions to Graphic Properties lead to remedy however. Maybe was obvious, but though you can't turn off the lines (3d triangle) which appear in rendering with Hidden Line foreground, you could set them to zero. Thanks again Pat.
  8. Is there a way to get rid of or change the colors of the lines once you render the terrain model. Also, are the lines in this image shaky do to a setting? Thanks.
  9. Thanks for the help Pat.
  10. I've attached examples of what I'm trying to accomplish here. Example A is what I'm stuck with at the moment while B is the goal. With the door, I'd like to be able to place my muntins in different locations/configurations. Additionally, I was hoping to be able to place different munitn configurations in different sashes when customizing windows. Thanks for the help.

    Oval Window

Have been looking for an oval window this afternoon and have not been able to find one. Before I go and create one, are there any available I'm missing? Thanks.
  12. Awesome! Thanks for the help.
  13. Thanks Mike, but I clicked on the link and didn't see the script. Am I missing something?
  14. Is there a workaround to bring walls that have been fitted to a roof back to their original state?
  15. Currently, and in the past, the office(s) I work in have used 1/4" scales as a standard due mainly to the use of zoom line thickness while drafting. Now however, I've encouraged the drafters to get away from zoom line thickness because I continually see errors in the drawings; lines/polygons not connected, lines crossed, etc. My question is, what other concerns or considerations exist regarding drafting in 1:1 verse 1/4"?
  16. There are strange objects and shadows showing up in Artistic Rendering but are not visible in other renderings or views. I'm assuming it's a piece of the window but can't explain why I don't see them in other views.

    S.S. Roof Texture

Thanks Brudgers! That works pretty good. May edit the mapping a little but beyond that you sold me!
  18. Is there a stock S.S. Roof Texture in the library... can't seem to find one? Or is there a way to create one that will look good on a somewhat complicated roof?
  19. Great! Thanks for the help guys.
  20. What I'm trying to accomplish is to have only one set of polygon's left... the originals I used to create my roof if possible. By converting to polygons I have a set for each plane of the 3D Roof Plane. At this point, it's easy to make a mistake by having the wrong plane selected.
  21. Once I have a roof face created is there an efficient way to convert it back to a 2D polygon?
  22. I've attached a few examples of graphical issues and wanted to share them with the community and tech guys with the hopes of getting some feedback. The first one shows that when walls are sent to roof you can not place a window above a certain point without causing walls to expand beyond the assigned "send-to" layer. In this case I have a wall on the 2nd Floor layer and am sending them to the Roof on the Roof layer. Execution works but once a window is added and elevations reaches a certain plain, the graphics error. Second image is double hung window with transom. All part have been assigned Style 1 to take on class attribute of color (Brown) but dividing-piece for transom does not take on attribute. Also, after assigning window glazing to Style-Glazing 1 on all windows, any changes (Elevation, dimmensions, etc,) caused glazing, and glazing ONLY, to default to different class... causing me to then enter settings and re-assign class.

    Fence Tool

Thanks guys... never noticed that tool... or forgot about it down the road.

    Fence Tool

    Where's the railing tool?
  25. Thanks panthony. I'm familiar with the roof plane tool but thought it would take me MUCH longer to develop a roof with... just need practice I guess. After I develop it I'll post an image for your score and any tips you may have to make it better. Thanks again.
