I am setting out to catagorize and clean up files from the previous desinger at our firm. I also want to create a template with my normal classes, layers, resources, title block etc. So here are a couple of questions. I am using 12.5, with 2008 Designer on the way.
1. I created a title block and sheet border and gave it a class (title block)as well as created other classes for my typical setup and made it visible.
2. I created several layers, 'Working Layer', 'Information', 'Plan view', 'Elevations' etc.
First problem is the title block class, though set to visible will only show up on the 'Information' layer.
Secondly, what is the most efficient way to corral symbols that are in numerous drawing files across 2 hard drives, bring them into this template file and create in folders in the resourse browser?
Thirdly, where does this file need to be saved to show up in the 'Create a new document' pulldown menu?
