  1. I got it to work by setting the constraint for the Drawing # to "right" - or deselecting both the L & R boxes. The text alignment setting - left , right , or center - doesn't seem to do anything - i still get the Drawing # and Sheet # blocks holding their right edges. Anything I do to get those two aligning on the left, or to get the line and the Drawing # aligned to the left [if i don't have a sheet # text block] results in the scale and Title text blocks out of alignment. "Wrapped text" was already unselected in all cases. The result i now get is acceptable - but still not ideal. I still think the v.2020 Drawing Label tool was far superior in ease of use and drawing editing time performance.
  2. Why was a perfectly good plug-in object changed and made so complicated? This interface is not intuitive at all . And I can't get the Scale and drawing Title text blocks to align left properly - the Scale block always kicks out left of the Title - even though in the layout I have them both aligned left and aligned with each other. I am using a MacBook Pro running OS10.14.6 and Vectorworks 2021 SP5. If i just create a new label, the alignments are okay - until i go into the layout and try to modify text size - then again i get the same mis-alignment.
  3. Oh, that was quite easy. Thanks. The other question I had was, when I use the pre-formatted VA Door Schedule in the Tool menu, I am not given the option to include symbols and PIO's. I only have that option when I create my own new schedule in "Create Report..." Is there an easy way to edit the VA Door Schedule to do this.
  4. When I generate a Door Schedule in VW2014 using the Door ID record and I summarize quantities of doors it also summarizes the dimensions - i.e., 10 3'-0" doors show up as 30'-0". I don't want that - I want it to show the size [height, width and thickness] for ONE door of that type. How do I achieve this?
  5. This would be so helpful! We usually place our callouts and our detail keys ON TOP of the viewports in the Sheet Layers. when moving fast, under a tight deadline [which is almost always]it is too easy to inadvertentaly select and move a viewport. Having the lock position feature - like the Design Layer ports have, would prevent this - but still allow entering the viewport to edit or get to annotations. Having the callouts and keys outside the SLVP minimizes our need to constantly enter and exit the VP's - when you have a whole sheet of details that is a big time factor.
  6. I have to say that the excrutiatingly slow callout editing has me cursing vectorworks 2010. I don't know hwy after paying good money to upgrade i should heve to sit thru twenty-minutes of beachball time to edit some notes?!!! My workflow is DESTROYED by such "improvements"
  7. I am still having problems with PAINFULLY SLOW keynote editing. I had always relied on them, but have had too abandon them on many documents because editing was so slow. I have to wait along time for spinning beachballs; even when creating the callouts from scratch- instead of copying and pasting. 8. Can't we have a preference for it to auto update? Say for example everytime one does a "Save As". Right now I must always click on the individual data stamps, check a box in the Info pallette, uncheck the box, and finally it updates. At the very least i should be able to just double click on the Data Stamp object for it to update.
  9. Good point, those floors and space objects are pesky in that regard.
  10. It would be great if we could lock an object [esp. a viewport] for positon only - that way when moving around the drawing fast there would be less risk of accidentally moving something out of position. This would be esp,. useful in a sheet layer as we have found it helpful to place many things [keynotes, room labels etc.] outside the viewports to edit the notes and cut and paste callouts w/o having to always enter the viewport annotations. If we lock it for position but still easily enter the viewport when needed [w/o having to do an unlock] that would help a lot.
