When I called the nemetschek sales dept to ask what kind of Mac I should purchase, they said to NOT by the Intel. So I purchased one of the last IMacs G5 available without Intel. I also could not get any info from the nemetschek how much RAM to get to run VW12 optimally. They would only tell me 512 was the minimum recommended. I could not believe a nemetschek cannot have reps available to answer these questions appropriately. That is a failure in their system.

I need to upgrade to V12 and buy a new Mac. I was told to stay away from Intel. Does anyone have a recommendation for a new Mac? How much RAM etc. would be suggested?

I am upgrading to V12 from a very old version. I am also going to buy a new Mac for V12. Can you recommend a specific Mac to purchase, including memory, hard drive etc. I will do mostly 2D work, very little, if any rendering. Any assistance would be appreciated. Mike S
