  1. Because I'm not entirely clear on the terminology regarding this question, I'm unable to find anything by googling it. My question is this: how does one continue an action after interrupting it with a rotate/move action. For example, if I want to draw a 3D polygon around a cube, I need to place a vertex on each side of the cube. In order to do this, I will need to use the Flyover tool and Move tool to give myself direct access to each side of the cube. However, if I begin the 3D polygon, place a vertex, then select the Flyover tool, the 3D polygon tool is no longer "activated". The line/vertex disappears and I have to begin anew. In SketchUp, I would select the 3D poly tool, then the flyover tool, then back to the 3D poly tool. The polygon continues if the next action directly after the Flyover is the 3D poly tool. It remembers what I'm doing. Does Vectorworks have this function?
  2. I first started using Vectorworks this year and, as such, have only experience with V2023. This week I decided to download V2024, ahead of the remainder of my team. It would appear this is untenable, and that we should migrate to V2024 as a team because there is no upstream compatibility from V2024 back to V2023. In other words, if create a new file in V2024, my teammates are unable to read or edit that file while using V2023. It also appears as though I must create a new 2024 version of every existing file we have (1000s of projects over the years) if I want to recall older projects in V2024. Am I understanding this correctly? Is there any solution to this apart from accepting it and starting the labor of moving everyone to V2024 and creating a new file for every project we've ever done? Any help would be appreciated.
