Wishlist - Paste on multiple layers
Christopher Rowe replied to Gregovitch's question in Wishlist - Feature and Content Requests
An excellent script that would be even more excellent if it could have the layer filter added to it! Thank you for the original script, nonetheless! -
Similar to this poster, I've been unsuccessful in installing the NBS Chorus plugin in Vectorworks 2025. The install from the Help menu works fine with Vectorworks 2024, but in 2025 when I select the NBS item in the Web Palettes menu the pullout says "NBSChorusMenu not in Plug-ins menu" I've tried moving the NBS menu around in the Workspace Editor and even copying the NBS plugin content from my 2024 folder, to no avail. Is this a known issue that needs fixing or is it a case of PEBCAK?

Mixing Windows and MacOS in the office environment -> does it work?
Christopher Rowe replied to JussiV's topic in Hardware
In our office, when Windows and Mac users are working on the same file, even without using project sharing, there are issues with references because of the respective OS file path differences. The reference link breaks and needs to be reestablished when the file is opened on the other OS. Other than that, we've seen no other problems with cross-platform work. -
Here's how my issue was solved (with help from Vectorworks Support of course!):

Contextural menus don't work in 2025
Christopher Rowe replied to Dick Jenkins's topic in General Discussion
Many years of using Vectorworks have trained my hand to right-click, move the cursor to the contextual menu item, and release the cursor to execute. This has always worked for me until I started using 2025 and I experienced this issue. Vectorworks Support advised me to click again on the contextual menu (with a LEFT click as Rob notes!) to execute the command - this solved the issue. I thought this changed behaviour was an undocumented new 'feature' but Rob's answer above seems to confirm it is a bug. -
Fresh installation of 2025, using the default Architect workspace and a new blank document: the right click menu isn't working at all for me. (Works fine in 2024 so I know it's a Vectorworks issue.) Mac Studio M2 64GB RAM, macOS 15

I'm going to do the 'Repair' but I wanted to note that I've noticed some flakiness in my customized right-click menus. Went into the workspace editor and deleted and reinstalled some items and it seems to be working better but not 100%. Edit Design Layer in particular is a bit hit and miss.

Resolution of geoimage keeps dropping with DTM update
Christopher Rowe replied to Christopher Rowe's topic in Site Design
Excellent work-around - thank you. (Wouldn't it be nice if Vectorworks could just do this automatically? I assume it doesn't because of image licensing requirements.) -
Resolution of geoimage keeps dropping with DTM update
Christopher Rowe posted a topic in Site Design
I have successfully geolocated my site and attached a geoimage to the DTM. I have set a fixed resolution for the image, and when first set, the resolution looks good. However, after an update of the DTM the image drops to a much lower resolution, requiring at least another update of the DTM, and sometimes two or more, before the finer resolution comes back. Am I doing something wrong here? -
The width of the Materials and Classes pane in the Window Style (or Attributes pane in the Railing Style) edit dialog cannot be resized by dragging - only the two Preview panes get bigger. It's a bit annoying to have to use the scroll bar to read or edit the parts. (Otherwise, the new interface is a nice improvement.) Hopefully this is an easy fix that might make it into the next Service Pack!

GRAPHIC LEGENDS - ANNOTATIONS HUGE PROBLEM!!!
Christopher Rowe replied to Shortnort's topic in Architecture
Can also confirm that simply entering the Define Legend Image dialog - without making changes - cause annotations to be erased. Not sure if this is a bug or a "feature"! -
GRAPHIC LEGENDS - ANNOTATIONS HUGE PROBLEM!!!
Christopher Rowe replied to Shortnort's topic in Architecture
I am experiencing this problem too. Recalculating the schedule after making a change to a scheduled wall style is either deleting the annotations or relocating and rotating parts of the annotation.
