  1. Thanks that did it. Didn't know about the workspace manager...
  2. I have a shared project file that is now 66MB large. I've been building this file for over a month. After the last Save and Commit, I got this error. It tells me to go to Tools> Utilities> Run Project Sharing Metadata Diagnostics. I don't see that option. I'm running SP 6. Right now, I'm the only one working on this file, and I do a Save and Commit several times a day. Those commits aren't that slow, typically just several seconds. Soon, more engineers will be using this file. The file is mostly schematics and 2D rack elevations, lots of circuits. So far, we're only 10% finished with this file, it will be MUCH larger as we continue the design. I've browsed thru some of the similar forum posts on this subject, but most are years old. 1. Please let me know what I should do about this metadata error. 2. Are we asking too much of the program for a file this large? Is there an upper limit? Thank you, Jim Oster Design Engineer NEP Broadcast Services
  3. Would love to hear the resolution on this as I'm having the same issue. Although my problem goes the other way- flyoffs and circuit ID's becoming much smaller for no apparent reason. In some cases I can just delete the cable number and re-enter it, then the number and flyoff become the proper size.
  4. I guess that helps a little, I can save views for each room on the rack elev layer, and a full sheet view for design layers. Still lot of clicks and pan/zoom each time. So there's no way for it to just remember where I left it for each layer? What does Tools\Vectorworks Preferences\Edit\Separate Sheet Views actually do?
  5. Is there a way to save the pan/zoom separately for each sheet? Our system has hundreds of racks and dozens of rooms on the rack elevation layer. Every time I switch between a design layer and the rack elevation layer I have to pan/zoom to find the racks I'm working on because it pans/zooms to the design layer location I just left (center-ish). I tried Tools\Vectorworks Preferences\Edit\Separate Sheet Views but it had no effect. What am I doing wrong?
  6. Sorry, guess I didn't explain well enough. The rack opening is 19", but the overall rack cabinet width needs to be 20.125". ConnectCAD seems to limit the cabinet width to 23.5276".
  7. I'm trying to draw our console turrets and below console rack space. The console builder (Forecast Designs) makes the frame only slightly wider than the 19" mounting at 20.125". I don't seem to be able to make a rack width smaller than 23.5276 in ConnectCAD. Is this an embedded limit, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks Jim Oster
