  1. Quicktime 7 installed and problem solved. Thanks a lot for your help.
  2. I am getting this message when opening VW 2008 on my powerbook running OSX 10.4.11. "Support from required image compression formats is not available from QuickTime. Reinstall QuickTime, choose the " custom " installation, and select all components." Sorry if this has been adressed before. Just direct me to related thread. Thanks
  3. I am looking to upgrade from my powerbook G4 to the new macbook pro. I have read that VW2008 will not work with osx10.6 snow leopard. Is it ok to install osx10.5 on the mbpro? what are my other alternatives apart from upgrading to vw2010? Thanks for your answers suggestions
  4. Currently using VW11 and looking to purchase VW13. 1 Will VW13 run on powerbook G4? 2 Is VW13 compatible with VW11 on a network, specifically will I be able to use wgr? 3 I have not been following this forum for some time. Is VW13 running native on the intel/mac platform? Thanks a lot for your help.
  5. Thank you Robert. When I opened the files I get the message" A vectorscript error has occured on this locked plug-in" 3 times.
  6. Sorry if this has been answered before. Currently using VW11 and would like to know how to customise the sample title blocks available. I tried editing the ConDoc C Horizontal and get the message "this plug in is not editable". Thanks for any help
  7. Travis the resolution was set to 300 default. However I noticed that instead of opening the file with preview, in the get info changing the "open with" to Acrobat reader as recommended by Mike does the trick. Many thanks to you both. Paul
  8. I am new to osX panther and vw11. When printing to pdf, the drawings are almost unreadable. I have to change my pen thicknesses to 12 to be able to read the drawings. I find it very incovenient. Is there a way around this problem?
  9. Thanks to you all. I'll go with what the majority of you are suggesting, ie Powerbook.
  10. Thanks to you all for your views. I was not aware that the 15" powerbook has more workspace until I saw your posts and checked the specs. However, I am more concerned with speed. I have read somewhere that if you are not playing games which typically require the better video card on the PB, then the ibook is as good as the PB, speedwise. Do you agree?
  11. I am about to purchase a laptop for use with vectorworks and trying to make my mind between the latest ibook G4 14" and powerbook 15". Anybody has experience working with the above models. Is it worth paying $500 to get the powerbook? Thanks for any advice.
