I think you're right. When I type in text like [Type] the overall heights of the text are close to the mm sizes specified in the OIP. Thanks.

Text Scaling value is set to 1.

The page setup and sheet size are the same for both Design and Sheet layers. It is only the text that is the wrong size - shapes print out correctly.

Have set up the text on a Design Layer (Scale 1:100), and then created a viewport on a Sheet Layer (Scale 1:100), with the result as noted above.

I have set up a page with various text sizes for reference, but all text seems to be printing at a smaller size than that specified, e.g. 7.0mm text prints at approx. 5.0mm, 5.0mmm text prints at approx. 3.5mm, 3.5mm text prints at approx. 2.5mm. The 'reduction' factor seems to be 1.414 i.e. square root of 2. Anyone have any clues? Page has been set up at 1:100

Sorry for lack of detail - obviously just geeting started with VW. When I start Vectorworks I would like to have a specific file open e.g. the last file I had been working on; or perhaps a file with specific settings - A3 page setup, grid turned off; or can I have it open with a template file?
