  1. I have been making some elevation drawings at 1:50 scale and I typically set the line weights to 0.18 for the main objects/buildings in my drawings. I use 0.25 for things in section and 0.05 for things in the background. My problem arises when I'm drawing small details like the pointing between bricks if they're, let's say 10mm apart in real life. When I draw them with 0.18 line weight the lines are so thick that they nearly touch and look almost cartoonish and detail is lost. My problem is that if I set the line weights much lighter than that then the drawing will appear very faint when it prints. Is there an obvious solution here? I usually draw with the zoom to line weight setting off so I only realise it's a problem once I've hit print.
