  1. Is there a simple way to get rid of the pre-set wall styles from VW architect? (I prefer my own set)... I have tried removing all wall style resources from the library>defaults>walls>wall styles metric file but the VW defaults still keep on popping up in my new files, not as a resource but when I pull down the wall preferences menu.
  2. You can get your sashes without the dross by using cased openings as a starting point. Use 'custom' sashes and 'custom sash options' to edit - looks fine
  3. If converting V11 to V12 it is worth being in isometric view first. All the symbols then convert to isometric versions and you can spot the dodgy doors and windows. These appear to be the V11 ones - V10 and previous come out clean. Basically it's the glazing that is the worst culprit. Avoid glazing until they fix it or stay in V11?
  4. Hi Limei, All the old VWks 11 symbol doors and windows are fine in 12. Why not just stay with these until they get the gremlins fixed? For scheduling you can create a report to get a list of symbols. You do need to be careful to avoid duplication as before. I paste XCENTER and YCENTER functions into my report, export to Excel, sort by X and Y; flag up if consecutive symbols have identical values, go back and locate these in VWks, correct as necessary, do the rest in Excel. The new schedules only seem to work if the doors and windows have been kept as individuals and thus all the benefits of symbols ("only draw it once") are no longer available. Power users may disagree? Am on Mac OS 10.3.9...
  5. Looking at VWK12: It would save a lot of keystrokes if we could disable the warning message you get every time you want to ungroup something. (Yes I do want to ungroup it, that's why I selected 'ungroup', if it was a keystroke error I would use one of my 100 'undos' to put it right). Any suggestions? Also: In version 11, when you duplicated a line, if in 'object info' the length of the original line was selected, the length was still selected in the duplicate. This was useful when entering survey running data (I still do this by physically running a tape over the object to be surveyed and taking running dimensions). Colouring alternate lines gave a 'measuring stick' from which to draw out the survey. In V12 the default is for the duplicated line to be deselected, making the data entry harder. Is there an easy way to amend this? Thank you in advance and bring on 12.0.1 (esp the hidden line rendering improvements)
