  1. Sorry, my posting needs an addition:.... If you create a new VectorWorks document and import every layer of the basicfile into the new document, its printable correctlyeven with custom papersize. Regards B.V.Klebelsberg
  2. Dear Katie, thanks for your prompt reply, few postings below. Our problems seem to occur after importing a VW 9.5 document and is possibly connected with custom papersize preferences. If i create a new document out of Vectorworks 10.5.1 the rasterizing printing method works well. So does printing as a postscript file. After converting the ps file to pdf via Preview, you get the correct sight. Printing instead of filing is ok also. Imported 9.5 files are printable in the normal not rasterized method via postrscipt printer without problems. Trying to print the imported file in the rasterized method creates problems with some custom paper sizes. The print you get hours later is a kind of colourstriped paper. This procedure causes also some kind of damage to the basic vectorworks file and you will never get a correct print (out of the rasterizing method) If you create a new This is a real problem for us, we couldnt solve this problem until now. In our office we are using 26 times Vector Works 10.5.1and 22 times Nemetschek Allplan. We testet the printing procedure with Mac9.2.2 twice without problems. Probs are coming up with MacOS 10.3.2. What I think is you should have a look to the custom papersize preferences in the OS library folders and to the same thing included in the VW document. We really hope that there will be any solution. 3. We use VectorWorks Architect, german localisation Version 10.5.1 running under Mac OS10.3.2 . We use 23 time vector works in our office and for us its necessary to print with tranparent things and images with no white pixels. Are ther some known problems with the following workflow? 1.When I try printing out of the "Rasterizing method of Vectorworks" (this is the last option in the VW printingdialog checkbox) sometimes I get heavy problems with my HP DesignJet 755 and 800 postscript printers. The printer output looks like colored wrapping paper and doesnt show the image I sent to the printer. The same problem occurs when I wtite postscript data and convert it to pdf. Sometimes it works well sometimes not. Here its not possible to print with some paperdimensions like A1 portrait, but the print with A1 landscape works well. Customized papers with 84*84 centimeters works well, another like 60*60 produces trash. I cant find out the rules how to bring this printingmethod to work correctly. The german distributor ,computerworks, told me, at their office everything works well. I think this is not possible, because I even cant with a new clean installed OS out of the box. 2.When I write postscript data instead of printing, it seems impossible to write a ps file larger then 2GB. Is this correct? Itested this up to 1.75GB ps file . When i choose another, larger papersize it seems to generate larger PS files and the generated ps file is written into 24kb. the printing or pdf aquivalent is white sheet of paper. Thanks for help with our workflow. B.v.Klebelsberg
