  1. I see, it was set to automatic. I set it to both, now it works. Is there a way to set it to "Both" by default?
  2. Hey, when I connect DIN Sockets, often my cable numbers dissappear. When I disconnect them, they reappear. Any suggestion here? Does it have to do with the label?
  3. Ok wait, so you also don't have an idea why a worksheet inside a titleblock causes that problem?
  4. Ah yes that one. Ok thanks, I'll try to fix it
  5. thanks, can you explain again what you mean with the worksheet image. Which one is it?
  6. Alright, just send you a file. Thanks
  7. Titleblock activation.mp4 Hey Niko, of course. You see the first time I am clocking and dragging, the second time I'm holding ALT and clicking and dragging
  8. Hi, this might be an easy one. I have a titleblock that I created myself, that always activates if I use the "Alt" Key to activate everything along the way of my mouse inside of my drawing area. From my understanding, the area inside should be empty right? I'm not sure what I did wrong. Any ideas?
  9. Hi, If I duplicate a design layer, it automatically inserts above the original layer. Can I change a setting somewhere, that it gets added below?
  10. Followup question: Do I have to create two seperate files for English and German or can I create two folders in one file for example for the device labels (folder Device Symbols). I guess the problem is that for example the dev_label_generic label can only occur once in the ressource manager right? I cannot put them in seperate folders and give them the same name right?
  11. Of course, that makes total sense. Thanks guys
  12. Yeah true. I tested it, as far as I can see it first displays (in case of Signal Types) the ones n the user folder and then the ones in the workgroup folder. I guess if I only want to display the ones from the workgroup folder i need to delete the textfile in the user folder right?
  13. Hey Conrad, one question to this answer of yours. So I have created our own SignalTypes.txt and ConnectorTypes.txt files to meet our company standards. They are sitting in my user folder. If I want my colleagues to be able to use that same Library files, is it sufficient to add them to a workgroupfolder as you explained above or do my colleagues have to copy those files in their user folder?
  14. Thanks Conrad, thanks for the insight and your understanding. Hopefully something can change on this matter. We really would benefit a lot from such a solution. If I could at least define certain folders myself I would be happy already 😉
  15. Hi, my company has english and german speaking employees. Therefore, for those who use Vectorworks, they are also using either the english or german version. I have noticed, that ConnectCAD doesn't seem to be able to change between languages. Meaning: When I create a german file, if it is opened in an english system, it can't find things like the "Basic Device" because it is called "Leeres Gerät" and it can't find the device labels because they are stored in the folder "Device Symbols" which is the folder "Gerätesymbole" in german. Is there a way to overcome this problem, because we would love to use one preset file for all guys.
  16. Hi, sorry for the confusing title. So I'm having a situation with copied devices. What happened was that I created a device, it was a QSC CX-Q 4k8 amp. It's Name and Tag was TER-AMP1. Later I had to swap it for the 4 channel version (QSC CX-Q 2k4), which I created by copying the 8 channel amp and editing the sockets, name and description accordingly. When I deleted the first amp and named the new amp TER-AMP1 it snapped back to the settings of the 8 channel amp and everything was greyed out in the OIP. Feature or Bug?
  17. Alright can you also explain why the text is so small in the first place?
  18. @beanus Thanks, that helps, although I really think it's sad, that Vectorworks is not capable of doing that.
  19. Hi, beginner question, can I fit a circle between three circles? I'm having a blackout here
