  1. Hi, doing the Vision Essential Class, I ran into an odd problem. I connected my onpc (w/wing) to Vision running on a mac. I chose to set up sACN, and transmitted the three universes needed from the desk. Looking at the DMX viewer, I receive DMX on universe 3, both indicated by the "Packet... universe 3"-message and by the values in the viewer updating live as I manipulated them in the desk. Looking at the Patch sheet, the patch matches with my desk setup (Universe 2 and 3 are patched the same). There are nothing out of place. In the visualisation window, however, the fixtures acts as if unpatched (see the second row of fixtures). I am completely unable to control them. I have the same issue playing back the recorded dmx provided as class materials as well. I am running VW2020, recently bought. Other than that the dmx connectivity went swimmingly. Any ideas of what might be wrong? Are there some universe limitations that I'm not aware of?
  2. I am unable to edit anything in the visualization part of my door's OIP. Specifically I would like it to be open in the 3D view. All options are greyed out. Any possible errors I might have done?
  3. Hi, I am completely fresh user, so pardon if terms are off. I have some issues with my Macbook Pro (2019) and Vision. Namely that it does not seem to utilize the GPU properly. After adding 15 or so fixtures and having them visible, performance drops to a halt, even moving around in the space is laggy. Looking at my activity manager, I have the following: (I realise that I managed to cut out the top bar in the screen shot. The columns are as follows: Name/Energy Impact/App nap/Graphics card/Prevent Sleep/User.) The 'graphics card' column is the most interesting, as it shows 'Yes' for Vectorworks, but 'No' for vision, which I feel support my theory. I have tried to turn off 'automatic graphics switching' with no change in result. Here is the computer information: Am I completely off in my belief that the gpu is not being utilized? Am I just overestimating my computers capabilities? Does anybody have any tips on how to improve performance?
