  1. Thanks very much for your support - Jonathan and Tim. I appreciate the quick response and easy solutions!
  2. Hello, I'm drawing a signage concept with angled lettering that I do not want flipped. I have unchecked 'Adjust flipped text' in Document Preferences and on the design layer the text does not flip upside down. However when I import the design layer/viewport onto a sheet layer - the text flips. I have looked through the trouble shooting forums and have seen the discussion around "path-based Plug In Object that will parse a text string" which I'm happy to explore when I couple of free hours however this is a quick concept and the client wants it yesterday 🙂 I look forward to your feedback and appreciate your time. 3. Thank you for the wealth of great advice and information Pat and EE. I will sit down today and apply your recommendations. Just to pass on some joy, I've attached a couple of the documents I'm drawing, we are restoring a Futuro and putting it on a remote block in Queensland. Thanks again for all your help. 4. Hello! I am trying to work out how to draw 1970s hand drawn construction details which have been sent to me as unscaled PDFs. The details are drawn at different scales - e.g 1:1, 1:20, 1:5, 1:50 etc. I will include dimensions on each of the details, so i have tried grouping each sized detail on the same Design Layer and i have unchecked unified view. I am using the Scale Objects tool to lock in the right scale and then adjusting the Layer Scale for appropriate sizing. However the drawing, text and PDFs in the other Design Layer's are then rescaling (the Layer Scale is staying the same, just the drawings, PDFs and text). I have been looking through the tutorials but i can't quite figure out what I'm doing incorrectly. The details are too difficult to draw without copying off the PDFs. With thanks, Sanchia
  5. Hello there, I am trying to import a DWG file. The document is 1:500 @ A1. I open a new doc and set up the page to A1 and change the scale to 1:500 I check 'use detected DXF/DWG file units' then check 'For unitless DXF/DWG file use Millimeters' And check 'Change current Vectorworks doc units to match the specific DXF/DWG file units.' The dwg doc imports and fits the A1 sheet however it is scaled at 1:1 I then use the 'Scale Objects' 'Symmetric by distance'. On the doc at this point 5m =10 and i change it to 10 = 5000. If i click okay - the document is scaled correctly however there is no text. If i click on 'Scale Text' everything disappears - no text no drawing. Thanks for your time.
