I'm trying to write a script that will allow me to generate an array of LED tiles with custom symbols. I'm looking through the reference documentation, I can not seem to find a way to prompt the user to select a symbol. Much like when you click "replace" you get the small selection window that asks you to select the symbol. Is there a function that will return the chosen symbol into a custom variable?

Running into an issue where the X/Y values on the hoists only updates when we have "Relative X, Y On Plot" checked. This shows the little arrows on the hoist, however, we do not wish to display those and only show the X/Y in the hoist data display. Why will the X/Y only show when the arrows are turned on?

Only issue there is that I share a folder structure with a company. And was looking for this a personal option compared to company wide.

Is there a way to have Vectorworks startup into a template file?

Just wanting to go through our companies symbol file and simplify all of our truss symbols to reduce the polygons on the file. Does anyone have any trick for this? I've attempted to redraw the 3D model with extruding circles and hexagons, But It seems to have more lines in the symbol then what the original did.
