  1. Hello All,

Using 64-bit VW 2023 (Build 668937) on an iMac (macOS Monterey Version 12.6). I'm having issues whenever I tried to print a sheet. Instead of the print dialog box popping open, I constantly receive the Page Setup dialog box (see attached screenshot). It doesn't matter whether I use Command+P, or File>Print to attempt printing. I've tried shutting down just VW, rebooting the computer, shutting the computer down completely and restarting VW and nothing seems to resolve the issue. The issue is intermittent though. Some days the print command works perfectly fine, other days it always gives me the page setup dialog box.

Any resolution or anyone else having this same issue? The same thing was happening to me in VW 2022 (last Build before VW 2023 was available).

    Thanks!

  2. Kit, I have the same issue with arrowheads showing up on a custom railing/fence. Were you able to get this resolved and how?

In my attributes bar, the arrow head style is greyed out, so there's not even a change to modify the end of the lines.

The rail is a simple existing guard that is being demolished during construction, but rather than just drawings 2d line work to represent the guard, I prefer to have it in 3d so that is shows up in my sections.  The arrowheads only show up in plan view.

I included screenshots of the plan view, as well as the settings for this custom rail if this helps explain

Do you see lots of consecutive messages that say "EXCEPTION" or something along those lines?

If this is the problem you're seeing, un-docking and re-docking the Object Info Palette will typically fix the problem for the rest of the session.

If this isn't the problem you're seeing, the next step would be to get a sample of the slowdown. This can be done through the Activity Monitor application. While the lag is occurring, highlight the VW 2019 app in Activity Monitor and choose "Sample Process" from the utility menu at the top. This will create a Sample file that we can look at on our end.

    Hi Tim C.

I haven't tried the Object Info Palette un-docking, re-docking yet, but I am experiencing a multitude of exceptions when attempting to move, copy, or even edit callouts. I've attached a copy of my "sample process" as requested, as well as a screen shot of the run of exceptions...that go on for miles.

    Thanks!

  4. I have a similar issue that has been happening to me, but rather than the issue pertaining to editing a label, it's whenever I try to move or even select a text callout. Sometimes it takes more than 10-15 minutes before the color wheel stops spinning and I'm able to do anything else.

We're using VW 2019 SP3, on iMac macOS Mojave V10.14.4, 3.5Ghz Intel Corei5, 24GB system memory, 2GB graphics memory. (I need to add a signature to my profile)

  5. Just received the same message for the first time and I've been using VW2019 64bit for several months now with Mojave 10.14.4 installed. I'm assuming this error message can just be ignored since VW2019 and previous versions were already 64bit architecture. I'll attempt to run the first aid utility to see if that resolves the issue.

We're running on iMacs w/Retina 5k, 24GB of system memory and 2GB graphics memory.
