Jim, I thought it was resolved, but it is back again. Grey line without giving me the thickness of the line.

Hi Jim, Never had this problem before and have been working on VW for years. Suddenly, yesterday, this started to happen. Not sure if I by mistake adjusted some setting somewhere. VW - 2015 OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6

In the Attributes palette where the line thickness is indicated, I sometimes have a grey line and no thickness indicated. Even if I click on a line to determine the thickness, this grey line remains without displaying the correct thickness. I suspect there is a setting somewhere that needs to be changed. Any advice?
