  1. @Tamsin Slatter Thanks you so much! I'm not sure I completely understand how this worked but the problem has been resolved. After centering everything and setting the co ordinates as you described, nothing changed and I thought the problem persisted. however I saved the project and when I reopened it the graphics were back to normal. Thanks again for the help.
  2. Hi All, I have, for the first time ever, used a surveyors drawing to compose a site in Vectorworks. After much trial and error I managed to get a site which I was rather happy with. I modelled the site in its own project file. I then copied the site and pasted it into the project file with the modelled building. as soon as I did this my entire model is no longer displaying correctly. although still in the correct place walls, beams etc. seem to be fractured. I have added two images to help explain what I mean. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong or how to correct this?
  3. Hi all, I have modled some structural beams as a ring beam for a roof structure im designing. while placing the beams into the context of the model the beam shape was set to the default (imperial) I changed the beam shame to metric. In plan the beams look fine but as soon as I view the model in 3D the beams are scattered all over the place and rather than the curved beams I drew they are split into straight sections with are also displaying scattered throughout the model. Has anyone experienced this before? If so how did you fix it? Thanks Dave iMac 3,3gGHz i5, 16GB 1600MHz DDR3, AMD Radeon R9 M395 2048MB, macOS High Sierra
  4. @Jim Wilson I got the message again. This is the report from the activity monitor. any thoughts? I have ordered some additional RAM and should get it next week but everything I read suggests this isn't a RAM issue?
  5. Hi Guys, I'm having a similar problem. I am running Vectorworks 2019 sp1. after working for around 2 hours (not rendering at a all) I get the attached error message. this doesn't happen with any other software so I think it must be somehow connected to Vectorworks. my specs are as follows: macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6 iMac (Retina 5k, 27-inch, late 2015) Processor 3,3 GHz intel Core i5 Memory 8GB 1867 MHz DDR3 Graphics AMD Radeon R9 M395 2048 MB I was advised not to upgrade from high Sierra as the new Mojave is unstable for VW2019. is this true? judging by the above posts, do you think upgrading is the solution to my problem?
  6. an update, I have tried several more times, the updater gets to 74% every time and then crashes. has anyone else had this problem?
  7. Hi There, I am trying to update Vectorworks 2019 to SP1 on Mac however, each time I click update the load bar only gets to about 70% and then cuts out. The attached image shows an error message which appears and the load bar reverts back to 0%. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
