I?m using VW 10.5.1, Max OSX 10.2.8, G4

Just now, in the middle of doing nothing my preferences reverted to producing feedback sounds (which I loathe), and line thicknesses reverted to '1, 6, 12, 20 & 40 for no apparent reason, when they were originally set at 0.03, 0.1, 0.18, 0.25 & 0.36. What's going on?

I'm having a problem trying to clip a number of objects simultaneously: this operation causes VW to crash. I can work around by deleting individual objects, but what's causing the crash? (VW 10.5.0 Mac OSX 10.2.1, G4)
