  1. I just know I am missing something obvious.... but when I insert an object (such as a car) into my plan from the Landmark Resource Manager.... (Window - Palettes - Resource Manager - Search 'Car' and select any of those in there) ..... when it inserts into my drawing it is always black and white in 2d (when viewed in top/plan). When I view it in 3d it is in colour - but I want that colour to also appear in plan 2d view. I can double click and edit the 2d symbol and assign a colour - but I don't want to have to do that. I do the majority of my Landscape Plans in 2d, and it is a pain to colour these elements (cars, table & chairs, umbrella pergola, etc.) each time I insert them. What am i missing?
  2. Thank you for your replies - yes something to consider if/when I upgrade - and yes I agree a desktop is probably a better and more flexible option in terms of upgrading hardware in the future. In terms of the plant symbols - I can be using hundreds at time. I realise I can do plants by area - but sometimes they are more for an aesthetic finish than a practical planting plan. Art V - I see you use a PC - do you recommend your setup as an efficient operating system? Does anyone else have a setup that they can recommend. Is there an 'off the shelf' PC I can buy or do you get yours custom made? Thank you.
  3. Hi Zoomer Yes sure: Processor: Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-477OS CPU @ 3.10GHz 3.10 GHz RAM: 8GB Graphics Card: NVIDA GeForce GT 750M 2GB DDR5 with TMP v1.2 It is an all-in-one PC so gather that the graphics card probably cannot be upgraded.
  4. Hi All I would love to know what PC you have that runs Vectorworks 2018 fast and efficiently (specifically Landmark). I use the programme heavily for planting plans with plenty of plant symbols which can be quite slow at times. I have a PC that technically should be fine - but would benefit from a few upgrades. So it is a question of upgrading or buying new - and if I go down the new road I would love some recommendations. I have been using Vectorworks for about 6 years and never had a PC that has runs the programme efficiently (even though they had the required level of hardware). Thanks, Melanie
