Holy Crap!!! How the hell did THAT happen? Anyhow, Thank you! I re-edited the legend and it threw an error at me then auto corrected itself... now everything is working... Thanks for you help and time!

I am literally marqueeing around the whole layer of lights. The only difference I can tell is that the lights I am working with in plot have also had the 'edit vision data' tool used on them. But this has never happened when I have used this tool. Point sources select normally in a marquee. Sent a PM with a dropbox link to my drawing.

The current layer and the other layer that is problematic are all Light Objects. When I add new Lights to this layer I cannot Marquee select those either. Also adding lights to the other layers, Lights will not marquee slect but every other object will....

So in a new drawing marquees selections work perfectly. Went a step further, changed Layers to Show/Snap Modify All I can marquee around all other objects and they pickup just fine... execpt things on the layer I am working on.... really wierd.

This may be completely daft.... somewhere, somehow I must have changed a setting I can no longer find.... or hit a shortcut I didin't know was a thing. I can no long select things with marquees... I can SHIFT - Select Objects just fine, but when I do a rectangle, lasso, or polygonal marquee nothing is selecting. Classes are set to Show/Modify all and the objects are all on the layer I am working with, but no multi-selection. thoughts?

Thank you very much... now I can find my log. to take it s step further, does anyone have a parser of some sort for thier logs or does everyone do it the old fashioned way?

Hey All, I did a cursory search of the forums and didn't come back with much information on the topic. Currently I am a freelancer working mostly in the entertainment industry. I often bill hourly for drawings and pre-viz. I also know that once upon a time VW would allow you to keep a user log of time in the program. Currently I can longer seem to find this file. ( I do have the setting turned on in VW preferences.) Also, does anyone have a good way to parse these files? I am looking for a way to just automate how much time I am spending in a drawing as even when I could find the logs it was a bit cumbersome to track. Basically I would love to be able to have a report spit out: You worked on this drawing for this amount of time, saved this many times. And maybe be search by drawing name, date, or something like it. Hoping someone has a way to do this already. I am actually surprised this isn't a feature built into VW since you can report on just about everything else in software. Many thanks in advance! 'D'
