  1. The usual keyboard shortcut for Align (command+ equal, for Mac) seems not to be working in VWA 9.01. It shows up as being in place in the Workspace, but it doesn't work. Can I "recreate" it in the Workspace and it will then work? Please fix it for the next release.
  2. Here's a workaround on the Suns, if your imported 8.5.2 file already has a Sun in it: copy/paste an old Sun in the imported file to where you want a new Sun, use OI to position it. Everything works and program does not crash, as it does if you set a new Sun.
  3. After more testing, the behavior I described in the previous post applies to a 8.5.2 file opened in v.9. When I attempt to import textures from a new, v. 9 file, I can do so--but then the program crashes. Bug? I need to give it more RAM? G3 224 MB RAM, 96 MB to VWA/RW; OS 9.04 Bruce Marshall
  4. Cut and paste don't seem to work in a worksheet. And, text styles and sizes seem not to be available when in a worksheet. I expect others have reported these...bugs? Bruce Marshall
  5. I'm unable to import textures from "vwa...wood.mcd" in Resources/Textures. When I attempt to do so, an "Assign Name" dialogue comes up that asks me to "Rename the Record Format named 'NNPhong'. But, whatever I do, the dialogue is not satisfied. This same behavior seems to hold for all textures in "vwa...wood.mcd." I am able to import textues from other sections of Resources/Textures. Any suggestions? Thanks. Bruce Marshall
  6. I lost the OI palette, again. Must have left it at the screen edge. So, I went to Workspace Editor to make a new VA Workspace, in which the OI palette will show up. But no luck. I've done this trick with other Workspaces. The OI palette shows up in other Workspaces. I don't want to take the time to recreate the VA Workspace from scratch just now. Any ideas how to easily get my OI palette back in a VA Workspace? Bruce Marshall
  7. I can't get Position in the OI to affect the position of windows or doors I've inserted, either PIOs or symbols. Has this not worked for a while? Only not for me? Bruce Marshall G3 266 224MB, OS8.0 ,VW8.5.1, VA
  8. I'm attempting to install VA. I just installed 8.5.1 The VA CD said "Install in a Vectorworks folder" or something like that. I would like to install it in the 8.5.1 folder (8.5.1f). However, when I open that folder, the VA installer does not let me install it; it insists I select a folder within 8.5.1f or create a new folder. Well, I tried that, and VA installed. But the installer did not put things--plugs in, etc--where they belong. I can--and did--drag them into the right folders in 8.5.1f. However, I believe the installer really is designed to work without my doing that dragging. What am I doing wrong? What can I do to make the installer work right? Bruce Marshall G3 266, 224MB, OS8.0
