  3. i have to reinstall for the upgrade!?!? oookkaaaaayyy.... i'll give it a shot. thank you.
  4. i downloaded the VW 9.5.3 update and i get the error message " An unexpected error occured while installing 'vectorworks'. 1008:17,-4" has this happened before? i followed the instuctions... turned off all the other apps, left the browser on... do i need to be running osX.2 before i update VW? appreciate the time. pedro

  6. katie, i may have some news on this click shift issue. i switched monitors with suzanne because she claimed mine was fuzzy and she no longer needed hers. when i connect my CPU to her old monitor i get her click shift problem. Meanwhile, her CPU is cured with my old monitor. I get another monitor (from a third machine) and connect it to my CPU and i no longer have the click shift. In this office, i can begin to conclude that suzanne's old monitor was the culprit. it seems to be a long shot but i dont know that much about video/ monitor stuff to really asses these facts and draw any other conclusion. the monitor in question is a viewsonic GS773 series. the two working ones are Viewsonics G773 and E773. i'm going to run a couple more tests at lunch to see if this holds anymore water. as fun as this is i have to get back to work. pedro

    printing order

im tiling pages on an 11x17 printer before i go to plot 24x36. i want the printer to print a sequence of pages... you know like 1,2,3....etc. to make up the big picture. is there any way that i can have the page breaks print from left to right as opposed to top to bottom? it may sound silly but a have good reason for doing so. thank u
  8. yup. i thought that was a feature....! three or four restarts in the morning usally allieviates the symptoms. PowerMac G4 450OS 10.1.5VW 9.5.2Carbon Lib: ? (see Other Post "dimension Demensia")

any way to trick it into doing the opposite? portrait 123456789 ???
  11. are you serious kT? well the only difference is the processor. otherwise they are identical PowerMac G4's (400 and 450 Mhz) Same software, Same OS, Same Video Card I will ask what you mean by Carbon Lib.... both machines were running 9.2.2 before the jump to X....i'm not sure how to answer that part of your question. what about you TS... are you having RC problems on a PowerMac G4 450 w/640MB Ram, Running OSX.1.5 on VW 9.5.2? might be something there you know?
  12. i dont think you're following katie.... the RC tool doesn't get far enough for a big cloud. it just disappears to the selection tool the moment the mouse clicks on the screen. its strange... some machines in the office have the problem... some dont... all are configured with the same VW and system software.....
  13. thanks for the verdict matthew. i guess i'll manage by breaking thiem up in layers.... maybe..... hey richard... vocal aren't we?
  14. No system is fool-proof suzanne... and that's no excuse to stop solving problems within systems.... anyone else know about working with multiple dim. classes?
